OVERVIEW
Welcome to the meat grinder, commanders! If you haven't played CAX at Glory Paintball, let me warn you, it is no walk in the park. The field is dense, the game complex, and the civilians... unscrupulous. CAX technically doesn't require a traditional commander but every organization prospers under good leadership. If you want to command, contact Kyle Buckmaster on social media or call the office at 713-826-9570. You must be on a known team and have played a scenario event before, as a major part of your job will be recruiting players for your faction.

COMMANDER PERKS

Commander & XOs:
Commanders and their (1) Executive Officer (XO) each get Free admission, however, due to the ammunition being included in our ticket pricing, there is a $50 charge for the Commander and XO tickets. This doesn't come close to how much ammo you'll likely use but helps cover some of your ammunition costs for the weekend (e.g. there will be a stockpile of paintballs, grenades and smokes at your disposal). Command Staff tickets are NOT segmented like regular player tickets, and you are expected to show up for the WHOLE event. CAX has a way of chewing up new commanders, so don't ask to command if you aren't ready to commit. Kyle (the owner) will be available every game segment to answer questions and offer strategic and tactical options in case you get overwhelmed. Remember... it's just a game.
Pick 3 Lieutenants:
Your three Lieutenants will receive half off tickets, nearly all of which is going towards their ammunition costs for the weekend. Command Staff tickets are NOT segmented and you are expected to show up for he whole event.
COMMANDER ABILITIES

Ammunition:
All ammo and pyro at CAX is provided, but finite. Commanders and Lieutenants are the only players allowed to draw ammo and pyro from the armory. The available supply is limited to each game segment (Missions - Saturday, Night Fight - Saturday night, and Invasion - Sunday). The segment allocation is based on the number of players registered for a segment and the length of that segment (e.g. more ammo is available for Missions on Saturday than is for Night Fight Saturday night due to Night Fight being a shorter play period with likely fewer players).
COMMANDER RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruiting:
You are the primary person responsible for recruiting your faction's players. Glory will be running ads and generic posts but won't be recruiting anyone to any specific faction. The event is hard-ticket capped and you'll want competent shooters. Buckministan is the great equalizer, and there is a huge difference between a good scenario player and someone who actually knows how to shoot and pie corners properly. If you have a choice, choose the latter.
COMMANDER ASSETS

Battle Plan Template:
Commanders will receive a prebuilt Battle Plan on the morning of the event. This provided plan is created by actual combat veterans using our Infantry School curriculum, simplified for civilian consumption. You don't have to follow it, but it will give you guidance on how to plan your own strategy for some of the game's more difficult mechanics, like dealing with civilians.
