
TEAMS COURSE
WHAT IS THIS COURSE?
This course covers tactics for small, 2-4 man teams. Your officers will learn the value of communication in close-quarter environments, methodology of clearing 3 dimensional structures, and the realities of armed, urban conflict.
The primary goal of this course is to shed light on the dangers of room clearing without proper cordons, communication and control.
CLASSES
TEAM COMMUNICATION
This class teaches the fundamental necessity of proper communication in threat environments. Communicate or DIE!
SKILLS:
Firing line communication, communication under fire (volume, pauses, succinct terms), hand signals 101, confirming commands, ADDRAC, code words, communicating on corners.
TEAM MOVEMENT
This class covers how to move to and from multiple types of threat situations with a supporting unit. Officers will practice approaching vehicles, structures and threats with innocent bystanders.
SKILLS:
Dispersion, bounding, contact drills, buddy rushing, peeling, crossing danger areas, withdrawing.
OPPOSING CORNERS
This class covers methods of fighting active shooters, at close range, on opposing corners.
SKILLS:
Gaining depth, stepping out, running the rabbit, high+low, ambushing (kill-zones and commands) YES this is a useful skill for police!
APPROACH A STRUCTURE
This class covers final approach to a hard structure before attempting to breach.
SKILLS:
Stacking (single), stack movement and control, approaching target buildings, getting to the wall, sectors of fire, stacking on doorways, staying off the wall, preparing to breach, reacting to outside fire.
ROOM CLEARING I - DELIBERATE
This is the first course of deliberate entry, a slow and methodical version of room clearing focused on mitigating risk to officers and minimizing civilian casualties.
SKILLS:
Concepts of deliberate room clearing, announcing yourself, 1 and 2 man responsibilities, posting outside security, NO breaching doorways, sectors of a room, clearing, communicating, coming out, offense thru defense, control moved to back of stack, methodical pace.
ROOM CLEARING II - DELIBERATE (Cont)
Advanced concepts of deliberate entry.
SKILLS:
Getting eyes before you move, mirrors and cameras, diversionary devices, pieing, verbal surrenders, gathering intel, dual-man entry, shields and armor over speed and agility, maintaining zones of control. CASUALTIES
ROOM CLEARING III - DYNAMIC
The infamous "no-knock raid". It may keep the enemy on their heels, but the risk of collateral damage increases dramatically. Be prepared to take casualties. Your officers will learn why the military uses this tactic and why police, generally, should not.
SKILLS:
Concept of dynamic room clearing, surprise and superior fire power, 1 and 2 man responsibilities, posting outside security, breaching doorways and windows, sectors of a room at high speed, clearing, communicating, coming out, the double stack, flash and clear, 4 man entry, withdrawing. CASUALTIES
POSITIVE IDENTIFICATION TRAINING
Using the accumulated skills from this course, officers will be tested in multiple threat v. non-threat identification scenarios primarily aimed at improving their ability to rapidly discern between hostile and non-hostile intent.
SKILLS:
Threat scenarios: Single, multiple, coordinated, false report, unknown, escalating, armed civilian variable, non-firearm related variable.
FIELD EXERCISE (FX)
Your officers may use the facility to whatever training they choose, on their own.
HOW DOES IT WORK?

You or your department books a session using the calendar below.

You may bring up to 10 officers to a session at no additional charge.

A session price is $500. This price includes facility use, an instructor, training gun and ammo for 6 hours.

Full eye and face protection are required. Officers may use their own or purchase them at the facility.

When you arrive, the instructor will begin teaching whichever class the officer in charge chooses.

Multiple classes can be taught in a single session at no extra charge.
